Children and grandchildren, friends and relatives are always welcome at Grandma’s. In Mummola’s yard there is an old barn and shed, as well as a barn that has seen its best days and is already waiting to be dismantled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mummola’s yard has a lot of space to play and hustle. In summer, if the heat surprises you, you can go to the riverside to swim and build sandcastles. On the beach you can enjoy the sun and fishing rods. Sometimes there are also other users on the beach. In winter, there is plenty of space to build snowmen and go snowshoeing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mummola you live a colorful life. Color can be found in many places, on walls, furniture, carpets and interior decoration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Our downstairs bedroom has been decorated with respect for the old and let the colorful wallpaper from the 70s be visible, this room comfortably accommodates 2 people, in a 160 cm bed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– In the second bedroom downstairs, the coarse board wall under many layers of wallpaper has been highlighted and room darken curtains have been added. There are two 80 cm wide beds in this room, so it is very suitable for two people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Upstairs, the colorful, spacious room has a 160 cm double bed, a narrow bunk bed 165 cm x 65 cm for small children, a sofa bed and a desk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Upstairs, the second good-sized bedroom has a 160 cm bed, a sofa bed and a desk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– In addition, more beds can be provided in the lobby upstairs if needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the living room, you can find grandma’s favorite furniture, a yellow wooden sofa that hides treasures that the children are free to use. The colorful Raanu has ended up on the living room wall in a different way than before. A yellow magic table that can be extended and shortened. And, of course, grandma’s best place, a rocking chair with no rush. There are toys and paper and pencils in the living room cupboards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Mummola, you can find games and exercise equipment for moments together. It’s good to calm down and read at Mummola, if you miss a book you like from grandma’s bookshelf, you can take it with you on the trip and continue reading later… (not war-themed books)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mummola’s kitchen has plenty of space to cook and bake a delicious blueberry pie from the berries found along the \u00c4nkil\u00e4 nature trail. In the kitchen, you can prepare tasty home-cooked meals, there are dishes for many needs, and some dry ingredients can be found in the cupboard, which you can freely use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mummola has been renovated in 2022 with respect for the old, the walls have been painted in many rooms, the sauna benches have been replaced and a massaging indulgence shower has appeared in the bathroom. The kitchen has been modified to be more functional and the entire downstairs floors have been repainted. An air heat pump has been added to the living room. Grandma’s house is old, so in the winter when it’s sometimes very cold, it’s good to remember to bring wool socks with you, which you can use to skate on the plank floor. Some borrowed socks can be found in the living room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mummola’s window offers a view of the countryside, the buildings in the yard, the neighboring houses and the surrounding nature, the lake, the river and the fields, where you can see the tractor at work. In 2023, you can finally see Laatokkas salmon rising over the demolished dams in the clear water of the river.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mummola has bicycles for children that can be borrowed. Of course, ask the bikes for adults too. With them, you can comfortably run to the center (Roihankatu, 3 km) to eat ice cream or to the country market (Torikatu, 3.5 km) to buy fresh vegetables and pastries (open Thursdays 9-12). Ski slopes (Ometantie, 3km) and skiing slopes are very close (KonkaSki). The really wonderful nature trails near the water and recently renovated invite you to go for a run (Kangaskoski nature trail and Hiitolanjoki nature trail).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is easy to find Grandma’s house or, if necessary, stop on the way further. 6- road is only 1 km away. Mummola has its own well and running water inside, as well as a washing machine and dishwasher to make everyday chores easier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
